All managers have legal responsibilities for health and safety in the work place.
However, this need not be as problematic as it sounds as the object of the law, in most cases, is simply to codify best practice and common sense and ensure everyone is applying this best practice in the workplace.
The "Essential Health & Safety for Managers" programme is designed for supervisors and managers for whom Health and Safety is not a main business activity.
Note the course is not designed to cover industry specific sectors such as maritime or construction H&S. (Delegates wishing these subjects should contact SkillGate directly).
This course is a "Tutorial". This means that, although it may be studied by managers exactly as it is presented, it contains a range of information and techniques that may be cut and edited to meet your organisation's requirements. Typically companies select only the key parts relevant to them.
If you would like to customise this Tutorial for your staff please call your SkillGateNet account manager on 01730 815670 for details.
The main course is divided into two parts. The first looks at the general legal requirements incumbent on managers. The second examines the key regulatory issues in some common or general business areas.
Each section of the programme includes on-line assessment tests to allow the delegate to measure their progress and knowledge.
